30 minutes

It's been interesting recently. The most touching and most exciting events of 2008 has happened! Haha. No la, just exaggerating.

Life has been just "like that" and I gotta start doing something. So I started running. It's a nuisance when I just start off. I'd be thinking, "ugh, this is so annoying, I'm tired already, why did I wake up so early to run, bloody bloody bloody blah." And as I go on, I loathe the way that leads me to Japanese Garden, but the entrance to the bridge just gears me up and along with some trance and electro that are playing in my ears, I got so damn excited by just running to the beat of Benny Benassi. Then after 20 minutes, everything turns mentally challenging for me. I start to feel so thirsty like there's no water on earth, and I keep gasping for air as a result of a relapse from my asthmatic history. The beats keep going on and on in my mind, it's not working anymore! Then, I start to think about how wonderful it is to complete the run. No, it's still not working, and finally, my ultimate weapon, my auntie. I'm sure if she's here with me she'd be like "Cha Lin I'm sure you can do it, ganbatte ne Cha Lin". Finally, the display on my watch shows 30:08! *Grins* I pause, stop the music, look out for people around me, no one in sight, so I go "fuck la! foooo what the fuck man! Wooooooo!!!!" haha. I did it! K, then run to Cheers and get my reward, water! :D

Soshite, I went home and saw my auntie in the hall.
"Where did you go Cha Lin?" asked Auntie Tomoko with a smile.
"I went to run" I replied.
"Hontou? Where did you run?" said Auntie Tomoko.
"Oh same place, Japanese Garden, I ran for 30 mins! Yay. Haha." I said with excitement.
"Ahhhhh Cha Lin, that's great" she said.

So I just went back to room and do my stuff. After 10 minutes. I heard a knock on my door, and Auntie Tomoko just dashed in, weeping sorrowfully and hugged me tightly. I WAS LIKE WHAT ON EARTH COULD HAVE HAPPENED MAN! PLEASE DON'T TELL ME SOMEONE DIED. PLEEEEASE.

"Auntie Tomoko, are you okay???"

"Iee daijoubu. Cha Lin ah, Auntie Tomoko, *weeps* just just feel so ...*weeps* touched that Cha Lin actually ran for 30 minutes...We all thought you were sleeping ne Cha Lin.. *cries* then you came back from running. So much improvement ever since you started running ne Cha Lin. I'm so proud of you, I'll get you a new pair of shoes okay?"

ZADAO!!!! Man... I was so shocked that she actually said that but after a few seconds, I was overwhelmed by her sincerity and empathy. I started to have tears at the corner of my eyes. And I told my beloved aunt "... auntie Tomoko, your eyeliner didn't smudge". Haha. Both of us started laughing after that.

I really feel so thankful for her existence, she's been my inspiration and support ever since I stayed here in Singapore. Always so encouraging, positive and open minded. One in a million:)

Okay, must run for at least 45 minutes! Train train train!
